Nick, thanks for your simplicity.
I have been getting some things wrong not because you do not mention them, but because I am still struggling with the discipline aspect.
One of the poignant points for me was the Pip Target rule instead of Money target. When money is made the focus of our target, it is clear that whatever we make will never be enough and though I am beginning of late to be better, I had blown some little accounts because I would not be satisfied with the ’130-150 pips’ a day!
I know part of the thing that amplifies that idiocy is the account size I chose to trade as I learn..(accounts of $200 or so which altogether i have blown almost 2k!!!) If I trade 0.10 lots for instance and made 50 pips for instance, which is almost equivalent of $50, to the greedy mind like mine, it is not enough. So i would need some more to at least make a $100 or more bucks a day! What an idiot!!
But now, I like to think I am beginning to know better.
I thought the lot to mentor me that you threw the last time will fall for me so you help me personally with those aspects. Well, it didn’t and I gotta make due with what I read from you. Keep it up and send us more.
