Forex4Noobs New Stuff: Pip Value Calculator

Posted by Nick 12

When I talked about updating Forex4Noobs I said a lot of changes were coming. So over the next few weeks I will be making some posts showing you some of the new features I have added to Forex4Noobs.

Let’s start with the calculator’s. With a lot of help from a member of Forex4Noobs we have built a cool Pip Value Calculator. There have been many times when I have asked myself “if I trade x number of lots how many dollars will I make per pip?”. I usually have to figure it out the hard way.

Not any more, now it is very easy! I just use the cool little forex4noobs pip calculator and bam! I know exactly how much money I will make per pip.

This pip value calculator is the best on the internet. All you need to do is enter in a pair and lot size. Other calculators out there expect you to put in much more information. This calculator does all the hard work for you. So enjoy!

Check it out here

    Hello Nick –

Great job on the calculator. I’m using IBFX and they recently added another decimal place on all the currency pairs, which threw me off when trying to do a quick calculation in my head. This will be a tremendous help.

Double check your pip calculator, I think it has the decimals in the wrong place.
    GREAT idea tho

      @Nicole:

Just checked it and it seems fine to me? Why do you think the decimal is in the wrong place?

Hi, thanks for all your hard work Nick! You’re doing a great job!

Just a thought – the slider would be more useful if the position size increased realtime while moving the slider, so that I don’t have to click and see how much I’ve entered and keep on clicking until have the right amount.
Or just add a couple of ticks on the slider (maybe a small one at every 5000 and a thicker one at every 10 000 or something like that), so that people can approximately see where they click .. Now it’s just easier to type in the number and not use the slider at all.

    What do you think?
    Thanks

@Tibika: Use your mouse wheel or you laptops scroll mousepad function and it increases in real time.

  • Tibika

@Nick: Yes,that works fine, thank you .. maybe it’s something worth mentioning on the calculator itself, though…

The ticks would also help, IMHO ;) nah, just kidding. You know, trying to leave a mark :D to give advice to the great NickB … stuff like that ;) :D
… It’s cool.. Thanks a lot and keep up the good work.

    Happy trading to all ;)
    Cheers!

@Tibika: I definitely agree the ticks would help I am going to add them. I already asked the guy who is helping me out about real-time updating with click and drag i will see what he says. I do agree it is a bit of a problem.

Thanks for the suggestion man you should see ticks up there very soon!

@Nick: A pleasure, man! :) Glad to be a contribution. It’s at least one way of giving something back to the master ;)
