Update on The 2 Months of Forex Mentoring

Hey Guys,

I have to say I am completely overwhelmed with the response to yesterdays post. My last post was only made 18 hours ago and already 130 people have responded! I have never had so many comments to one of my posts. I really wish I could mentor everybody but that would be impossible.

Rainer made a post asking about a Skype conference call.

Hi Nick

a brief suggestion!
when you do your mentoring, I would be very interested as so much other, why isn’t is possible to do a conference Skype call and only one at the time can ask questions, if the listeners do not obey the rule you kick him/her out of the conf. call.
just a suggestion, because i as so much other would be very happy to be your guest.

On paper this sounds like a terrific idea but the truth is nothing really compares to one on one mentoring. Group sessions end up sucking and you cannot really build up a proper mentor to mentored realationship. Thanks for the suggestion but I have tried similar things before and it just doesn’t work.

Guys I have not picked a winner yet and wont until Friday this week so keep the comments coming to the previous post.

The funny thing is, this guy is not from India. I see all the IP addresses of people who leave posts. Hey Nick … no offense noob, but you wrote “All you need to do is reply to this post and in 30 words or less tell me why you think you deserve to win. WARNING! be genuine I don’t want any sob stories!” … shouldn’t any entry over 30 words be disqualified from the word go … I could’ve written a long winded reply as well!!! (BTW … if I’m not mistaken, then you’ve already bumped this up to 30, it used to be 20 when I was posting)

No offense to the two long winded favorites of yours … I’m sure they are fine people to mentor and I wish them all the pips they have ever dreamed off but they should be disqualified … I’m a noob just just like the rest of them and want to have an even chance at this!!!

Nick, I’ve been trading for 10 months now and have bought many stupid systems in my early days with countless indicators and what not, only to see my account blow out a couple of times. this website has introduced me to price action which is all one needs to master forex and I am very grateful for it. Keep up the great work mate. Just like everyone else I am a 1000% committed to learning and benefitting greatly form the skype session and I’m sure we’ll have a blast.

This might hurt my cause in being picked but truthfully I need your help because you seem easier to understand than those who try to teach me before, but they charged a fee.Wasted my money. If you can teach me then you are a great mentor, I would be a challenge to teach, being a disabled Army Veteran. I use no indicaters, and want something simple so I can also teach other Veterans.Thanks for the opportunity

yeah Nick I like the idea about paying it forward, the trader you choose should be required to mentor two of us and so on and so on, until we are all masters of your two methods.

Do a chain reaction:
do a one on two skype mentoring and then these two will do also a one on two mentoring to pay you back and so on.
Need to do s test to ensure the students are not starting from scratch and have the right software

Hi Nick,

It would be interesting to film all this. A camera with you following you and what your doing( about your life) and another camera with your chosen student, following him. Track the progress and make a documentary. I would love to see a documentary about this. “Noobie to Ninja”. To see the changes it would make to someones life would be quite extraordinary, i think. Any way just a thought. I hope you choose me, obviously.

Nick, the post by Vinesh is hilarious but my feeling is its going to be a bit diifcult to pick a mentee without a set of criteria , some have suggested that they will mentor other newbies, etc

Nick,

What if you simply recorded the sessions and posted them on your website. This would enable hundreds of people so watch from a third person’s perspective, not all, but most people will learn many things. You would not need to answer any questions about the videos nor would anyone expect you to. The people watching the videos will self study his or herself to become a great trader, those who become confused and can no longer follow the material will drop out. I predict that some people will not be able to follow your material but many will and these individuals will essentially learn the same thing they would have if you had selected them to mentor.

This is just an idea and I appreciate any consideration you give it.
