Two Forex Mentoring Winners

Posted by Nick 12

Hi Guys,

Wow over 170 applications this time (not counting the 80 I got via email). I will try and keep this short. What it came down to is somebody who stood out from the rest. Most people said something like:

  1. ‘Forex is too hard I need help’
  2. ‘If you pick me I will mentor somebody else after you teach me’

Passing on the knowledge by the mentee becoming a mentor is certainly is a noble notion. However, countless people who entered said pretty much the same thing. There is no guarantee it will happen and it doesn’t make you stand out.

When I was 14 I went for a job at the video store. In the interview the store manger said to me “Tell me about yourself”. With what I thought was a stroke of genius I said “well I am a movie buff I love films”. She smiled and replied to me “That’s what everybody I interview says”. Needless to say I did not get the job. I didn’t stand out, I was just another guy spouting off some rehearsed line that I thought would impress. So in the new year when I pick the next two students keep that in mind. You need to stand out not blend in.

Ok so who did I pick this time….

My first pick was Elijah (Ninja-Wannabe) from Canada. His comment really stood out to me. Probably because I love movies, pc games and cooking. To be honest the desire to be able to do the things I wanted like PC games, movies, martial arts and whatever else is what drove me towards Forex. It seems like Elijah wants the same things so I picked him.

Wanna sit at home, watch movies, play pc games and cook for my gf when she gets home from a hard work day. Give me the POWER to do so!

My second pick was BlastedCopywriter from the UK. He left a very well written comment that clearly stood out from the others.

I have no great need for money, what I lustfully crave is success. Success is my drug, my addiction to it drives me. Can you guide me to success?

Come January 7th I will be picking two more mentoring students to join this group so stay tuned.

And next week Sirena (NavyGirl) one of the winners of the previous mentoring comp who has finished up her mentoring will be writing a guest post. She will explain what she learned and how she is currently doing for all of you who are interested in an update.

Thanks to everybody who entered.

I was wondering what had become of the other two. It seemed that we would get lots of feedback but alas we had none.
Looking forward to Navy girl’s posts.
What about the other previous winner? Do we get anything from him?

wow…really good choices Nick…. and honestly I’m also like Ninja Wannabe, the real reasons I want to learn forex is because I want time to do and learn things like, kendo, drawing and animations, game design, powerlifting, singing, and playing pc games, boardgames, with my brother and sisters…. I’m currently learning still and hope to learn alot from you and your website….

You are a clever man, Nick! I enjoy seeing your thinking process in making what must be a difficult decision; looking forward to an update from NavyGirl and Scott.

    To my fellow losers:
We have just recieved that dreaded “the position has been filled phone call”. What now? Self pitty? What did we do wrong? I thought I answered all the questions perfectly. Did my breath stink? Was my shirt untucked?
I have the confidence to succeed. I know with the right training I will excel at this position. What is he looking for?

I hear that Mr. Nick will be expanding his business at the beginning of next year. I better start honing may interview skills.

Or maybe all it may take is a simple thank you note.

    Dear Mr. Nick:

Thank you for the opportunity to join your organization. I would greatly appreciate consideration for any furture position openings.

    Best reguards

Nick, when are you doing the mentoring sessions again? I did ok financially but got sick, lost most of my assets, loosing my house. Desperate for a comeback to stay off government bankroll and teach others the same thing.
