GFT Has a Cool New iPhone App

Hey guys,

As most of you probably know, GFT is my favorite broker and I do most of my trading with them. GFT has just released this cool iPhone application.

The application has real time quotes for all the major pairs. It also has:

- Oil and gold quotes (cool because I am now starting to trade oil) and also U.S, Euro, Asian equity and bond markets.
- Great Charts
- An Economic Calendar that is updated very fast when figures are released.

I just grabbed this application on Thursday and I am loving it. If you have an iPhone get this application. In my opinion, it is essential for any trader.

If you have an iPhone downlaod the app if you dont then I am definitely not suggesting you get an iPhone.

hey nick are you trading wti spot with gft? Im trying to get them to add more historical data. Hard for me to trade without.

I actually trade it with ODL but now that GFT is doing WTI I might use ODL to place lines and GFT to trade.

I was hoping I could install it on my iPod Touch and use the software through my WIFI connection, but it won’t work. I am in a T-Mobile contract that won’t run out until December 2009. Is the charting good enough to trade from? Can you put lines on the charts and is updated as fast as a computer?

@SkipW: I do not trade from those charts I use GFT’s mobile platform which is also pretty awseome. I use the app to keep track of GBP/JPY and oil quickly and easily.

Hey NickB, thanks for your posts, awsome.

About GFT , I am having trouble with their Trendlines moving when i change from different Time Frames. I asked in the forum last week and it was said they do have some probs with this and was wondering if you also have these probs too and if so does that mean you just use GFT for placing trades and chart with another broker?

Does the App allow you to set alarms when prices reach a level. This could be very helpfull for us that still have a day job

Are you taking about the FX360 app?? Great charts, oh come on…
There are actually tiny line charts in this app.

It’s a nice to have, and maybe the calender and Tech analysis are nice, but as long as you can’t have a good chart on this thing, it ain’t worth much.

I hope they come with a mobile trading platform for iPhone though, just in case you need to follow up close.

They may be tiny but they’re great for what they are. Charts on your phone? It is not as if I use them charts to trade but its cool to know where GBP/JPY is when I’m on the run.
