Hello everyone in Forex4Noobs! I'm about as n00b as you can get :/

Due to a work related-accident I've been forced to pretty much start life over at 39 and I want to learn to trade. I have a lot to learn, so forgive me when my future questions may roll your eyes.

I want to learn and not fall for the Gimmick Of The Month (and after browsing the torrent world, hoo boy there's a lot of snake oil out there). Thanks for any support and advice you could give me.

Welcome aboard. Theres lots of very good advice on this site. I started trading a couple of years ago myself and found this site a few months ago and have to say I learned more from this site in the last 4 months or so than in the last 18 months else where.

I stongley suggest you read Nick's e-books, the guy has put a lot of effort into producing them and it shows, they really are an excellent read - and for free. Then you may want to consider the video course and webinars, there is cost but its not a lot and excellent value for money IMO.

Also worth checking out the traders journals, Furious Angle, Rogan, Metal Hawk, Olby amongst others offer loads of good advice.

Oh almost forgot, if you can, check out the chat room, some great discussions take place daily (london session best time), and I have always forund the users more than willing to help and answer questions.

Hi Woofer and welcome. I think you will find everything Rich said is true, it just dosen't get any better than what Nick has put together here. A lot of excellent people always willing to help and no snake oil. Good luck with your new profession

You handle got my attention. Obviously I like dogs.
For some advice I might suggest when you open a live account get one that allows MICRO accounts. That's 1/10th of a mini lot, which is 1/10th of a full lot. Demo is fine for a short while but when you put money on the line, even pennies your outlook will take a quantum leap.
The only dumb question is the one you don't ask.
