Hi ...question about nickB"s Method

Hi Guys/Girls,

I'm Dankje and I found this website tru babypips.

Nick talks about trading only the 4 hour chart. As motivation he gives us his desire to explore other ventures, like playing computer games.

However, even though I haven't tryed his method yet I think a 4 hour chart would be to slow for me. I intend to spend far more time on monitoring and won't plan any video game action in the near future

So, could i implement his method on a chart with a smaller timeframe?

Paul

Some people on here might say otherwise but I believe that it is not advised on lower time frames. Somebody correct me if I am wrong.

I wouldn't go any lower than the hourly charts.

Just out of curiosity, why would you want to spend "far more time" monitoring when you don't have to? I can't speak for everyone out there, but it's a pattern I have seen in many people about pretty much anything in life: you get sick of something if you do it too much.

The last thing a trader wants is to get sick of looking at charts...

Just my 2 cents.

Tnx for your input...

If I only had to look at charts i would get bored soon, I agree. But The motivation for using a smaller times frame would be the frequenty of going into trades.

Ill start with the 4 hour chart and see where it leads me.

See you guys around in the chat.

I know how you feel, and I must tell you that this is not the right mindset. I bet you wan to feel the excitement when trading, the thrill and satisfaction of a winning trade etc.. Fact is, you want to eliminate excitement as much as possible. When trading is exciting for you, you're not in the right mindset yet. You need discipline.

Trading is a business, if you had a store you wouldn't jump up and down every time a customer comes in, scream in excitement when he buys something or kick against the wall if he leaves without buying anything. Think about it

you're right

i know what you mean. it's just that I'd like to be more active than the 4 hour chart only. it's seems that synapse'sis is the answer to my wants. I promised myself not I repeat NOT to mess around with money management. I really understand that is the thing that most people understimate. I will not make that mistake. I'm writing a business plan. im keeping a diary. BTW something wrong with the cursor? I can't see a cursor thats why im asking.
