Hey everyone,

I'm George - I'm from Perth, Western Australia.

I study medicine at university and it's the roughest ride ever. I didn't actually really want to do it at first, but didn't have anything to do. I have always been interested in stocks and only a few weeks ago I stumbled across forex. So, here I am.

My personality and style of trade is pretty much a scalp trader. I'm rather impatient, I like to be on the computer for hours and I'm pretty aggressive. This may be a shortcoming of mine. I'm basically a mathematics person, I love technical analysis, I love candles, I love trends. I don't like indicators.

Actually, I was planning to find vacation work for my trip to Japan and since the aud/yen was atrocious I went searching for some news, saw some forex ads, and that's how I found out. Looks like I will probably do a little vacation work and try to get into forex now.

welcome to the site.

You will find lots of good info on here and theres quite a diverse range of traders on here from shrot term scalpers to longer term traders.

Good luck with whatever style of trading you choose and dont be afraid to ask questions - the guys and girls here are a very helpful bunch.

Hi George! I am very much like you in your personality and likes. I trade full time for a living after 26 years in construction. Take time to study the basics-FXPro's Demo might work. Read everything FOREX! I love those charts as well-but knowing their meaning helps in the long run. I have been trading Forex since 2004 and have,in the last year, made it my livivg. I trade only 3 pairs- EUR/USD GBP/USD AUD/USD. I trade off 5 minute Candlestick chart(w/15 minute chart as confirming backup) using only Candlestick recognition and levels of Support and Resistance. I Scalp for my living and FXPro doesnt seem to mind. I place anywhere from 0-8 trades per session and rarely have even 1 losing trade(except for yesterday when my account was blown out !LOL) I keep a bare minimum in any trading account and withdrawal ALL profits as soon as they're made.This keeps my exposure limited to any B.S. that a Broker might cause. Even after 4 years, I still dont trust ANY Forex broker fully. So I keep my trading account small and take all my profits instantly. It's not a winning trade until the money posts to YOUR bank account. So far, this arragment has worked well for me.
