Hey Twinky,
Couple of ways of calculating the 200 ADR:

1) Use the Ratogram - see http://www.forex4noobs.com/forums/me...-ratogram.html

or

2) If using MT4 platform (as you are trialling) use Nick's .mq4 file. You may be having issues as you need to save this into the Program files/<MT4 provider's name>/Experts/Indicators folder. Don't forget to shut down MT4 as it won't work until you do.

Hope this helps.

So I downloaded Nick's file and saved it into my MT4 folder as above. I've closed MT4 and reopened ... now what???

I looked under indicators but there is notthing there that seems like it.

Where do I go from here please?

Thanks
Libby

Hi afcberty

Yes, I do love Christchurch. Was at the beach today with my family and puppy and just felt so lucky to be able to live here

My trading is mixed. I'm up about 20% on my initial deposit which is good (trying to preserve capital above all else) but I have definitely done some stupid moves like leaving Furious Angel's Daily Breakout trade to get to 120 pips and not closing out ... then coming back to see it close on my SL of 40 pips. A silly mistake bore out of greed as FA DBO TP should have been set to max 100 pips!

But, as with most things in life, I have learnt more from those trades than the good ones!

I decided to reduced my lot size which made me feel more comfortable - I think it was Synapse that said if you feel uncomfortable the negative amounts you see then reduce your lot size. It's really about discipline and MM in the end isn't it?

How's yours going?

Libby

Lucky you, unfortunately we are in the grip of winter up here so a cold rain drenched walk with the dog was all I could manage this morning!!

My trading so far has been a mixed bag to be honest I took my initial deposit up to a staggering 150% profit in two months then got carried away and blew a substantial amount on taking advice from others on another forum. My charts ended up looking like a birds nest and became a tad confusing to read!!! I doubt those people were making the returns they said they were getting on their 'holy grail' strategies!

Decided to go back to basics before I blew the lot and found this forum

The MM is now (hopefuly) sorted and I'm on the up again using the simplified charts.

Indicatiors

Yes, one of the things I do like about this site is the clean chart philosophy. I have the CCI and that's it .. I use it for Synapse's 30 min scalp strategy and it's pretty good outside of user error!!

I love England .. I lived there for the standard NZ OE of 2 years in 95-97 but my visa ran out

I'm up in Glasgow, Scotland, if you went up there it would of reminded you of home, the scenery and climate are very similar to the south island!!

Hanmer springs was a particular favourite of mine, the hot springs were outstanding and very relaxing

As for my charts, they are very clean now too, all I have are my pivots and the odd fib. Once I get the candle paterns licked, steady progress should be the order of the day.
