Welcome!
Bonsoir Alex,
It's great to see you in the forums. Your plan sounds great and well defined. You say you've been lurking in the chatroom? Don't be shy, ask questions if you have any. A lot of people there, including myself, that are willing to answer just about any question for you. You have it right though, a lot of corrupt people related to the forex market, naturally it can make the learning process harder. Don't ever sway to the side of paying for services or guarantees related to the forex market. Take the time to learn the basics and a simple way to earn pips like Nick provides for everyone, and you will do just fine. Anyways good to see you here, Good Luck and Happy Trading! Zack P

Hi Zack, Rogan & David!
Thanks for the welcome. I am really enjoying the forum it is a rare find. I am sure I will take part in the chat room but just for the moment I am trying to just keep up, it's a whole new language for me! Luckily I haven't parted with money for automated systems etc, in fact I lost mine doing stupid gambling and by using a disreputable broker, but lessons learnt and then I found Nicks site and baby pips, so I have a lot to work with now. In fact the only thing I have purchased was Nick's video course and WOW what a revelation that was, like gold dust. Totally demystifies forex and give a feeling that with some application it is more than possible. I learnt more in an hour watching the vids than I have done in a month looking elsewhere and it saved me a wad on a bunch of books I was about to buy. Anyway, thanks again guys. :-) |

Hello Alex!!! It sounds great to be somebody here from France and form England, I mean you can help us to get more deeply information about EUR or GPY or other currency. I know everyone can get that form the web, but is better when you can get from somebody very close to those countries. Welcome

Hi Oharas,
Well living in france but being paid in sterling we do certainly experience the currency market at the sharp end! When we moved here in 2006 we were getting 1.4 to 1.48 ish a bad exchange would have been 1.38. Just yesterday I bought £5K of euros at 1.21 you can see very easily how that impacts on our € spending power over here which effectively means my husband has had a 20% pay cut if I've got my maths right. We used to reckon on 1.5 when doing a rough estimate, now we just do pounds for euros... Nevertheless I still wouldn't go back :-) Cheers, Alex |
