Ok so it seems like Borac Obama will be running for president not Hillary? Then America has the choice to pick between McCain and Obama?

Yes Nick, at the moment, it seems as though they (Obama & McCain) will be the two people that we can choose from to be President in November.
The primary election process is not over though. It takes place, on a state by state basis. And whoever receives the most votes from a particular state, that candidate receives that state's electoral delegates. It is those delegates that actually end up nominating the person for President for the November election. There are a certain number of delegates that a person needs to obtain to be considered the one who will be nominated to run for President in the general election in November. None of the people running for President has got to that point yet. Like Scott said, it is a complicated process, and very confusing! Regards, MiForexTrader |

It would be pretty cool if Obama won but I just have this feeling that some crazy, whit supremacist, racist is going to try and assassinate him.
Also let me see if I get this, George W done his state of the union speech a few weeks ago. Was that speech basically a promotion for why the current political party should stay. Also is McCain part of the current party?

Politicians are not interested in being truthful, they are not interested in you or your well being, they are only interested in being popular. But it's our fault, a politician can never admit to being wrong or in any way at fault because we will punish him mercilessly and endlessly in the media. We only get what we deserve, I can think of many people who would make brilliant politicians but they would not be able to take the abuse. So now days the only sort of person attracted to being a politician is just the sort of ingenuine power hungry type we don't want. Catch 22. ![]() |

And by the way, each voter is registered as a republican, democrat, independent, green, etc. And a voter may only vote in a primary for which s/he is registered.
So if you're a registered republican (or any other), you may not vote in the democrat primary.

Sadly, politicians are now owned by corporations and special interests.
See MAPLight.org if you want some hard evidence. It compares political donations to voting records. The State of the Union (the speech Bush just gave) is supposed to inform the American people of just that: The State of the Union. It is supposed to give us an idea of where we are and where we are going. It is usually used to promote the President's current initiatives and to introduce new ones. |
