Dealbook 360 and Vista Ultimate

I mainly use GFT for the Dealbook 360 charting but I have an issue that occurs once in a great while and I wanted to see if anyone has a recommended solution.

Occasionally I will have an interruption to my cable internet and my GFT Dealbook 360 will not reconnect as I assume my internet has not reestablished a connection in time before Dealbook stops trying to reconnect. Of course this usually happens when I am not at the computer and causes me to miss some trades because my alarms never trigger. I contacted GFT and they did not have any recommendations. Is there any possible way to set Dealbook 360 up to try reconnect for a longer period? Or is there possibly a way to set a repeating alarm to sound if the connection is lost?
Thanks
James

This usually happens to me when the computer goes to sleep. Maybe you can set it to never sleep and see if that does what you want?

I find it best to use the sms alerts option when away from the computer. An alarm in your pocket is easier to hear I find. You'll need to set them to go off a few pips earlier as they can take a little while to come through.

Not sure of an answer to your original problem.

However, like Olby said try using sms alarms... When you set an sms alarm they are set directly from GFT rather than audio alarms that only work if your charts are open and connected.

Olby,

Thanks for the recommendations. Actually the only thing I have set on my PC to shut down is the monitor after :30 min. I will double check that to be certain.

Thanks again!

Rogan,

Thanks, will be using SMS. I was not aware that they were direct to GFT. That basically solves the problem. Thanks again guys.
