Pip values are the same no matter the margin.

I tried to post in the Ask an Expert area, but I guess I'm not an "Expert".
The topic was about pip value vs. margin.
None of the posters on that topic had the correct answer.

The margin amount has no bearing on pip value whatsoever.
The pip value on a standard lot is the same whether you are at 100:1 or 400:1.
It's still a standard lot.
The deposit used (margin) may be different depending on what
margin you rate you are using.

The pip value of the GBP/JPY depends on the exchange rate, since it has to be converted into USD for most of us. There are a lot of calculators available that will run the formula.
The last time I checked it was about 94 cents for a mini lot and $9.40 for a standard lot USD.

On the GBP/USD or EUR/USD it is easy since the counter currency is in US Dollars and the lot amounts are $1,000 for a mini and $100,000 for a standard. So the pip value always stays constant at $1 for a mini and $10 for a standard.
