many forums, and many people say that you need at least 5000 dollars to start...and thats just for a mini account!

I beg to differ, this trading journal is going to show the progress of a smaller account, by small i mean maybe 200 dollars.

I have always wanted to try and see if a small account can make it, if that person is smart. The reason i think they say you need alot of money is because most people that start out, start out small and margin call their account.

So, in about a week, i will be opening a small account with just a couple hundred dollars, i chose this amount because its some money i can throw away if i am wrong, and it will be an amount that most college kids can scrounge up.

The system i will use is GBP/JPY 4hr charts and S/R lines with some usage of CCI, but not much. I will prob post what trades the account has done, and give an update on the account balance to show if a small account CAN make it...i think it can. Be back soon

OK - sunday evening, its official

we will start with 250 - our goal is 5000

GBP/JPY - 4HR - S/R lines - conservative trading

I will more than likely be taking money out of it too, since it is going to be a live account, and since i am a poor college kid and have to pay for school and bills.

When i do though, i will subtract it from the account balance here so we can see if a small account can make it.

oh definitely...ill be at 200:1 margin of course since it is a mini account...i was thinking of increasing lots every 250 dollars while it is a mini account...but i dont know on that yet

200:1 leverage? You better be right on those first couple of pairs, especially with gbp/jpy. Good luck i hope you do well.
